ZAO Aloe Vera Mascara, with the structured lash-by-lash brush wand this gives excellent definition, volume and staying power! Its natural nourishing formula nourishes your lashes with organic aloe vera, castor oil and shea butter whilst coating your lashes from root to tip with intense black colour.
Perfect for daily or evening wear, this mascara will give you the length and volume you want.
Free from synthetic preservatives and chemicals, this mascara reduces the risk of redness and irritation to your eyes. Suitable for frequent use and even ideal for those with sensitive eyes and skin.
The bamboo case is beautifully sophisticated and original, your mascara also comes with it’s own cotton pouch.
The switch to natural mascara can be a tricky one as if in the past you have been using a synthetic mascara with dimethicone (a plasticiser) in it, this will have coated your lashes in plastic and can make it quite hard when switching to a natural mascara. Unfortunately we have unrealistic expectations of a natural product due to the synthetic ones we have used in the past and the results they have given us! Take your time when applying and let each coat dry before applying again for thicker lashes. A good tip is to use an old clean dry mascara brush in between coats to separate your lashes and helps drying time.

Organic Aloe Vera Gel: Known for its soothing virtues, organic aloe vera gel repairs and soothes the contours of the most delicate eyes.
Organic Acacia Gum: Acacia gum or gum Arabic is derived from the resin secreted by the Acacia Senegal tree. Plant-based and vegan, acacia gum is used as an adhesive agent, which helps improve the hold of Zao Mascaras for a long lasting look.
Organic Carnauba Wax: Secreted by the leaves of a palm tree native to Brazil, this wax is a film forming agent that protects the skin through the production of a continuous film and thus improves makeup durability.
Packaging
Although not completely plastic free, this ZAO mascara is refillable, you keep the bamboo case and refill the plastic bottle inside.
The refill bottle is plastic but it is easily recyclable and much better than replacing the whole thing.
You keep the mascara wand and wash between refills.
