Although Zao isn’t completely plastic free, this refillable eyebrow mascara is still a much more healthier, sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to purchasing an entirely new fully plastic product.
Note that all eyebrow mascaras are talc-free, vegan, organic and cruelty free with limited plastic packaging.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Pea shoot extract: Made from young pea shoots, this active ingredient reduces hair loss and stimulates natural hair growth from the root.
Organic Aloe Vera Juice: Aloe Vera gel moisturizes and protects the hair fiber, allowing the lashes to grow faster.
Packaging
ZAO makeup may not be 100% plastic free due to regulations but they are working towards plastic free in the future and are constantly reducing the plastic in their packaging.
This eyebrow mascara is refillable, meaning you are still reducing waste and plastic each time you buy the refill rather than buying a whole new plastic casing. The refills do come in plastic that is easily and fully recyclable but Zao are working towards replacing this plastic packaging with card/paper in the future. The actual metal containers the eye shadow is held in are 100% recyclable aluminium.
ZAO as a brand and their products are the best eco-friendly options for sustainable, vegan and natural makeup out there, I do truly believe this is a far better choice than purchasing a completely new plastic packaged makeup.
