There may be imperfections, chips, cracks and roughness on the bar and rough variations on the surface, this is normal.
Do not leave sitting in a pool of water, it needs to stay drained and dry between uses. Keep as dry as possible, a soap holder that allows drainage is preferable. Do not leave wet sponge or dish brush on the Dish block as it can cause water to sit and slowly create a hole.
